Rhoden, Cousley Wood
Retrospective planning permission secured for the continued use of land for ancillary residential purposes and the continued use of an existing detached outbuilding as a self-contained annexe - set within the grounds of a substantial dwelling in the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Key to the success of this application was making sense of a rather complicated planning history and subsequently presenting a case for the proposal – which planning policy was not supportive of given the considerable separation distance that existed between the host dwelling and the annexe.
This planning permission has served to address this clear breach of planning control and in turn, has enabled our client’s elderly mother to be able to reside in close proximity to her immediate family.
