Saddlers House, Alfriston

Planning and listed building consent has been secured for a proposed scheme of internal and external works to the Grade II listed building which adjoins the Grade II* listed Star Inn - a boutique hotel located in the beautiful village of Alfriston in East Sussex, in the South Downs National Park.

The approved scheme of development will facilitate the provision of much-needed on-site staff accommodation and also includes for significant improvements to the hotel’s restaurant terrace and courtyard which will enable the hotel’s waiting staff to serve their customers more efficiently.

Fundamental to the success of this project was providing justification for the required internal refurbishment works as well as the required alterations to the site’s external historic fabric.
